ULTRASONIC PROFILING AND VERTICALITY ASSESSMENT

Loading a pile that exceeds the specified inclination can introduce excessive bending moments and shear forces if the pile was strictly designed for axial loads. For diaphragm wall or contiguous bored piles, an excessive deviation may create undesired gaps that permit seepage or ground loss. ARGES provides cost effective quality control and quality assurance equipment for deep foundation excavations.
The ultrasonic profiling equipment is suitable to be used on bored piles, diaphragm wall as well as secant wall. The system is easy to be setup, fast in datalogging and provides real-time output image of two profiles- xx and yy deviation curves and numerical tables (if required). The system also comes with the automatic lifting winch powered by 12V portable battery. Additionally, the profiling data may assist in the analysis of the pile load tests. |
